Photography courses
The Studierendenwerk offers during the semester a total of three photo courses for different levels. In the beginner course you will get to know the basics of digital photography. The advanced course deals with the topics image composition, visual language and image perception. The photo course for advanced learners depends on the needs of the participants and is determined by their content. Here you can realise your own image ideas with the help of the instructor. During the semester break, there is usually a photo holiday course for beginners.

Current photography courses
Photo Course I
Learn the basics of digital photography and learn all about aperture, shutter speed and ISO. The beginner course is suitable for anyone who does not just want to rely on the camera's automatic functions. The following questions are illustrated and answered during the course of the course by practical exercises:
- How does my camera work?
- How can I outsmart my automatics?
- How do I use my flash sensibly?
- How can I optimise my pictures on the computer?

Photo Course II
The advanced course is about image composition, imagery and image perception. The course is suitable for anyone who wants to deepen their photographic basics and make their pictures more creative. These questions are clarified in the course:
- How do I design during my photography?
- What role do light, location, background play?
- How do I specifically use photographic techniques?
- How do others see my photos?
- How do I present my photos most impressively?

The Photo-AG of the Studentenwerk Göttingen offers all photo enthusiastic students a variety of opportunities to work in a thematic and project-oriented way. Regular group meetings and project development are the focus of our work. The photo-AG is thereby supported organisationally and financially by the cultural office of the Studentenwerk.
