Disabled persons representative

The disabled persons representation represents the interests of severely handicapped and equivalent employees. It is also the point of contact for employees who are threatened with disability due to illness or impairment.

The severely handicapped and equivalent employees of the Studierendenwerk Göttingen select their confidants in regular elections every 4 years. These form the disabled representation. The current disability representatives can be found below.

The representation of disabled persons promotes the integration of severely disabled people, represents their interests and provides advice and support. It ensures that the laws, regulations, collective bargaining agreements, company or service agreements and obligations incumbent on the disabled are observed and respected.

It supports and accompanies severely handicapped or disabled employees in applications under the recognition procedure and advises supervisors and stakeholders on funding opportunities, e.g. in the creation of handicapped-accessible jobs or in the application for funds for the reintegration and employment of severely disabled people.
